Macron is France's youngest leader ever electedInitial vote-counts showed Macron winning between 65.5% and 66.1% of ballots, with Le Pen trailing badly on between 33.9% and 34.5%. Le Pen officially conceded within 20 minutes after the first results were released at 8pm (1am Thailand time), and called Macron to congratulate him. A crowd outside the Louvre museum at a Macron victory party jubilantly waved red, white and blue tricolour flags at the news.
